Earth Day 2002!
DCWASA will participate in a special Earth Day event with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Building, 200 Independence Ave,SW. The event takes place from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm in the Great Hall. The goal of the event is to provide HHS and local government employees with information on products, programs and general 'how-to's' they could implement in and around their homes to save money, energy, and water while preserving the environment and protecting the environmental health of our nation. The HHS Green Home will showcase energy, water, and environmentally efficient products and programs easily accessible to residential customers in the form of a 'mock home.' The event is being sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
