Mayor Gray and DC Water GM Hawkins celebrate flood mitigation projects in Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park neighborhoods
Join DC Water General Manager George S. Hawkins and District of Columbia Mayor Vincent C. Gray for the groundbreaking for the First Street Tunnel, a critical step forward in the effort to alleviate flooding in the Bloomingdale and LeDroit Park neighborhoods.
Please join us to celebrate the start of this accelerated project and two other stormwater mitigation measures already in operation.
Visuals include traditional groundbreaking with shovels for the First Street Tunnel, a visit to the McMillan stormwater storage site where stormwater is captured during storms.
