WASA MAKES EMERGENCY WATER MAIN REPAIR

Residents who live east and west of Rock Creek Park bordered by the B & O Railroad, Connecticut Avenue and Tilden/Taylor Streets may experience a water shut-off or low water pressure sometimes during from 10 pm, Friday, March 5, 2004 to 10 pm, Saturday, March 6 when the DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) shuts down a section of a 48-inch water main at 30th and Military Road, N.W., to do an emergency repair on a leak in the line. The impacted area includes parts of Wards 1, 3, 4, and 5.

The small number of residents whose water may be shut off have received written notification. The remaining customers in the affected area could experience a change of no more than 20 pounds of water pressure.
